علی دبيرستاني میباشد. پدر مبتلا به بیماری تنفسی بوده و با یک کپسول اکسیژن تنفس می کند. مادرسرپرستی فرزندانش را برعهده داشته و با کارگری در زمین های کشاورزی مردم مخارج زندگیشان را تامین می کند. علی دوخواهر و یک برادر بزرگتر از خود به نام های ریحانه، یاسمن و محمد داشته که ریحانه ازدواج کرده و به صورت مستقل زندگی می کند. یاسمن دردبیرستان مشغول به تحصیل بوده و محمد نیز دیپلم خود را اخذ کرده و خود را برای کنکور سراسری آماده می کند. این خانواده پنج نفره در یک منزل استیجاری زندگی می کنند. دیگر درآمد آنها از طریق یارانه و کمیته میباشد. این خانواده نیازمند کمک همه جانبه میباشند.
