Mohsen studies in high school .He is very thin and malnourished. The parents separated due to the fathers addiction and for a while the children were taken care of by the father, but then they left to the mother. The mother, who was unable to take care of three children, entrusted her daughter to welfare and Mohsen to his grandfather, and now she works with her older son in a clothes shop and lives in Shiraz. The grandfather, who is Mohsens guardian, receives a small pension, together with his grandmother and aunt, Mohsen lives a difficult life in Qadirabad. The grandfather is in financial trouble to cover the expenses of his grandsons education and needs financial support.
محسن در مقطع دبیرستان تحصیل می کند. او بسیار لاغر است و دچار سوي تغذیه میباشد. پدر و مادربه دلیل اعتیاد پدر متارکه کرده و برای مدتی سرپرستی بچه ها با پدر بوده اما به مادر می سپارشان. مادر که توانایی نگهداری سه فرزند را نداشته دخترش را به بهزیستی می سپارد و محسن را نیز به پدربزرگ سپرده و خود با پسر بزرگترش در یک مغازه لباس فروشی کار کرده و در شیراز زندگی می کنند. پدربزرگ که سرپرست محسن میباشد حقوق مستمری اندکی دریافت می کند به همراه مادربزرگ و خاله و محسن در قادرآباد زندگی سختی را می گذرانند. پدربزرگ برای تامین مخارج تحصیل نوه اش در تنگنای اقتصادی قرار دارد و نیاز به حمایت مالی دارد.
