یاسمین در مقطع دبیرستان تحصیل می کند. او با وجود مشکلات مالی خانواده و بیماری والدین دوست دارد در درس هایش پیشرفت کرده و باعث افتخار خانواده باشد. یاسمین یک خواهر خردسال دارد. مادر به دلیل بیماری سرطان و صرع و پدر به علت معلولیت پا در اثر تصادف توان کار کردن مستمر ندارند و همین موضوع باعث وضعیت بسیار سخت مالی آنها شده است. البته پدر به عنوان نظافتچی در یک مغازه کار می کند.این خانواده مستاجر هستند و برای تامین مخارج همه جانبه زندگی و تحصیل یاسمین نیاز مبرم به حمایت مالی دارند. پدر نیمه وقت در یک فروشگاه کار می کند.
