Priya studies in high school and is a bright student. She has an older brother who is a student and a younger sister who does not go to school yet. پریا در مقطع دبیرستان تحصیل می کند و دانش آموز باهوشی میباشد. او یک برادر بزرگتر از خود که محصل میباشد و یک خواهر کوچکتر که هنوز به مدرسه نمی رود دارد. پدر بر اثر مشکلات عدیده مالی دست به خودسوزی زده است و فوت شده است. مادر سرپرستی سه فرزند خود را به عهده دارد. او با وجود دیسک گردن شدید در خانه لباس های محلی دوخته و میفروشد و از این راه درآمد ناچیزی کسب می کند. آنها در منزلی استیجاری زندگی بسیار دشواری را می گذرانند و پس از فوت پدر در شرایط بسیار بدی قرار داشته و نیاز به حمایت مالی دارند.
