Marjan is in High School . She is a polite and well-educated girl who does not receive help from the government because she is Afghan. Her father has died of lung cancer and her mother is caring for her only child. They are tenants and have sold almost all the furniture for their father. The mother has severe rheumatoid arthritis but works to pack chewing gum to help support her living expenses . These families need financial support. Due to the unfavorable situation, this family needs $ 40 per month.
مرجان در مقطع دبيرستان تحصیل می کند. او دختر مودب و درسخوانی است که به دلیل افغان بودن از دولت کمکی دریافت نمی کند. پدرش به دلیل سرطان ریه فوت شده است و مادر سرپرستی تنها فرزندش را به عهده دارد. آنها اجاره نشین هستند و تقریبا تمام وسایل خانه را برای درمان پدر فروخته اند. مادر روماتیسم مفصلی شدید دارد اما برای کمک به تامین مخارج زندگی در خانه به کار بسته بندی آدامس مشغول است. این خانواده به حمایت مالی نیاز دارند. به دلیل وضعیت نامساعد این خانواده به ماهیانه $40 را احتیاج دارند.
