Melika is studying in high school. She has lost her father due to burns. Melika and her older brother, who is also a student, are under the care of their mother. They own their old village house but need financial support to support themselves. The mother works in farms but makes very little money.

ملیکا در دبیرستان تحصیل می کند. او پدرش را بر اثر سوختگی از دست داده است. ملیکا به همراه برادر بزگتر خود که او نیز محصل میباشد تحت سرپرستی مادر میباشند. آنها مالک خانه قدیمی روستایی خود میباشند اما برای تامین مخارج روزمره و تحصیل دو فرزند محصل نیاز به حمایت و پشتیبانی مالی دارند. البته مادر در مزرعه کار می کند ولی درآمدش اندک است.
