Seraj is in primary school and a lively and active boy. His father died in an accident, and Seraj, who was heavily dependent on his father, became a little depressed and sad. Serajj is the only child in the family and is cared for by his mother. The mother occasionally works on the peoples farmland seasonally and earns a meager income. They are in a remote village without basic facilities such as air conditioners, gas heaters, yard doors, and so on. These families need financial support to support themselves. The mother recently got married and moved to Herat with Siraj. Siraj is happy with this marriage and new city and is attending pottery and English classes.

سراج دبستاني أست و پسری پر جنب و جوش و فعال است. پدرش بر اثر سانحه تصادف فوت شده است و سراج که به پدر وابستگی شدید داشته کمی افسرده و غمگین شده است. سراج تک فرزند خانواده است و سرپرستی او با مادر میباشد. مادر گهگاهی روی زمین های کشاورزی مردم بصورت فصلی کار می کند و درآمد ناچیزی کسب می کند. آنها در روستایی دورافتاده بدون امکانات اولیه از قبیل کولروبخاری گازی و درب حیاط و ... میباشند. این خانواده برای تامین مخارج زندگی شان نیاز به حمایت مالی دارند. مادر به تازگی ازدواج کرد و با سراج به شهر هرات نقل مکان کردند. سراج از این ازدواج و شهر جدید خوشحال است و به کلاس سفالگری و انگلیسی می رود.
