Abolfazl is studying in high school His father died of a brain tumor and his mother remarried and abandoned his children. Abolfazl and his older sister, who is also a student and has a heart condition, are under the care of his grandfather. The grandfather is old and disabled and lives in an old rural house. The only source of income for this family is the Relief and Subsidy Committee, which does not meet their urgent need to cover all living expenses and education.

ابوالفضل در دبیرستان درس میخواند. پدرش بر اثر تومور مغزی فوت کرده است و مادر ازدواج مجدد کرده و فرزندانش را رها کرده است. ابوالفضل وخواهر بزرگترش که او نیز محصل است و ناراحتی قلبی دارد تحت سرپرستی پدربزرگ میباشند. پدربزرگ پیر و از کار افتاده است و در منزلی روستایی و قدیمی زندگی می کند. تنها منبع درآمد این خانواده کمیته امداد و یارانه است که جوابگوی نیاز مبرم آنها برای تامین مخارج همه جانبه زندگی و تحصیل را نمیدهد.
