Maryam is not going to school yet. She has had leg Deformity problem so both have their legs amputated. Now they have artificial prostheses for her which has cost them dearly. Her father is a simple worker and her mother is housewife. Maryam has an older brother who his eyes are week and needs glasses. But due to financial problems they could not provide for him. As a result he has dropped out of school. This family lives in grandfather"s house who is going to sell it. This will increase their problems.

مریم هنوز به مدرسه نمیرود. او بیماری دفورمیتی در پاهایش داشته و به همین علت پاهایش را قطع کرده اند. او اکنون پای مصنوعی دارد و به شدت نیاز به کاردرمانی دارد. پدرش کارگر ساده است و مادرش خانه دار میباشد. آنها برای تهیه پای مصنوعی مبلغ بالایی هزینه کرده اند و به این دلیل در مضیقه مالی قرار گرفته اند. مریم یک برادر بزرگتر دارد که چشمانش ضعیف است و از آنجا که به علت مشکل مالی نتوانسته اند برایش عینک تهیه کنند ازتحصیل عقب افتاده است. این خانواده در منزل پدربزرگ زندگی می کنند که او نیز بتازگی قصد فروش منزل را دارد و مشکلات آنها بیشتر خواهد شد.
