Shiva is a high school student. Her two brothers suffer from severe osteoporosis and require extremely expensive medical treatment. Her mother is a homemaker, unable to work because she must care for her ailing children. Her father, formerly an unskilled day laborer, abandoned the family after developing a drug addiction linked to a nervous disorder. Their only sources of income are government subsidies and welfare assistance. This family of four lives in a single-room home and is in urgent need of financial support to cover living expenses, housing costs, and, above all, the childrens medical treatment.

شیوا در دبیرستان درس میخواند.دو برادرش مشکل شدید پوکی استخوان دارند که نوعی فلج محسوب میشود و هزینه درمانی بسیار بالایی دارد. مادر به دلیل مراقبت از فرزندان بیمارش قادر به کار کردن نیست و خانه دار میباشد. پدر کارگر ساده روزمزد است ولی به علت ناراحتی اعصاب معتاد شده و خانواده را ترک کرده است. منبع درآمد آنها یارانه و بهزیستی میباشد. این خانواده جهار نفره درخانه ای با یک اطاق زندگی می کنند و برای تامین مخارج زندگی و مسکن و بخصوص درمان فرزندان نیاز مبرم به حمایت مالی دارند.
