مونا در مقطع راهنمایی تحصیل می کند. پدر خانواده که کارگر ساختمانی بوده ودر اثر اعتیاد بسیار بد رفتار بوده فوت کرده است. مونا به همراه برادر و مادرش که سر پرستی آنها بر عهده دارد در یک زیر زمین نیمه کاره در ورامین با شرایط بسیار دشوار زندگی می کنند. این خانواده از لحاظ اقتصادی در وضعیت بدی بسر می برند و نیاز به حمایت دارند.
